I haven't watched it yet cos I'm probably going to avoid it until closer to the time.
I don't really like the idea of other actors playing the parts of the original series - how can it be Kirk if it's not Shatner? - but I'm reserving judgement since JJ Abrams is directing this.
That said I suspect I'll be more annoyed with Zach Quinto as Spock than the other guy as Kirk.
Been meaning to say for a while: I hadn't watched the trailer posted but saw it recently at the cinema.
I had thought that it was Shatner playing Kirk that I loved, but when I watched the trailer my true inner geek emerged. I wasn't expecting to get such a buzz from the trailer but I got a bit excited. It looks very promising.
I liked the bit when they were building the enterprise (or whatever it is) in the desert. I suck at trailer reviews.

Well spotted - he looks familiar - but not like Pegg.
Isn't a Hollywood a full bikini wax though - leaving nothing behind (as opposed to the Brazilian). How can you tell that?
Speaking of trailers, did you see the Terminator 4 trailer on Film 2009 this week?
I hadn't realised McG was directing this and it hadn't really registered as something I was fussed about seeing. But again I was betrayed by my inner geek when I saw this trailer. The Terminator animation/effects looked fantastic.
